The Hearts Museum, situated in the Gorgie Stand, is open during the festival !

Extensively researched and curated by Caroline Mathers and a team of Historians, the museum tells the story of the history of the club via words, artefacts and video.

Visitors are encouraged to come and spend some time in the museum and talk to our historians; entry is free, with an opportunity to donate to the upkeep of this unqiue attraction at the stadium.

Visitor hours – Thursday and Friday – 10 am to 4 pm, Saturday (if no match): 10 am to 4 pm, Saturday (with match): 10 am to 12 pm, Sunday: 12pm – 4pm.

Saturday 10th June

 G in the Park | 11 am to 3 pm |  Murieston Park,

‘G’ stands for Gala and it will be an opportunity to meet the various groups and communities that work in Dalry area. There will also be games and activities for children and we hope it will be a fun day out as well
as an informative one.

If it rains (hopefully it won’t!) we’ll be at St Martins Community Centre.

Songs That Wonder – Open Mic Session with Rachel Zylstra| 3-5pm |Saltyard Café, 156 Dalry Road, EH11 2HB

Musicians and music lovers ~ Songs That Wonder is an open mic is dedicated to songs bent on spiritual questions; thoughts on God; longing, faith, and uncertainty. Come share your covers and original songs of this stripe. Sign-up starts at 2:30 PM. There will be an an electric piano and a guitar available for use.

Please note – entry and Cafe service go up until 3:50 pm – the building turns from public to private space after 4pm.

Sunday 11th June

‘Last Hurrah’ Garden Party  | 12 to 5 pm | Saughton Park, EH11 3BQ

The ‘Last Hurrah’ Garden Party celebrates everything all of our volunteers, partners and friends have achieved in bringing the £5.2m Saughton Park Restoration Project to the point where contractors will be moving onto the site to start all of the work in July. We celebrate three and a half years of sustained local effort and say a fond farewell to Saughton Park as it is now and we look forward to all of the magnificent things that will be built, planted, restored and cherished into the future! Come and join us in the garden for great live music, scrumptious food and drink, a bear hunt, kids games, tales of bygone Saughton, art in the park and much more!

Monday 12th June

Southern Italian dance Workshop | 8 pm – 9 pm | Media Education Centre, 183 Dalry Road, EH11 2EB

The workshop will explore the amazing world of some vibrant and energetic Traditional Southern Italian dances:

… Tammurriata, a passionate folk dance from Naples, performed by playing castanets to the rythm of Tammorra, a large drum.

.. Pizzica Pizzica, a wild and cathartic dance from Puglia, once used also as a ritual to release stress and blockages of spiritual energy.

Come to share the authentic joy of music, freely expressing our soul – and – self through dancing.

Open to everyone, you don’t need a partner. Just bring your feet and your desire to dance!

Football memories group | 1:45pm to 3:15 pm | Tynecastle Hearts Museum, EH11 2NT

Football Memories was launched in 2013 and trains volunteers to spend time with people living with or at risk of dementia and who have an interest in football, talking about teams and matches from the past and working with images and memorabilia to stimulate memories.

All sessions are free and include a pie and a hot drink.

Students’ Performance Showcase Event | 6:00 – 8:30 | Tynecastle High School, EH11 2ND

It will be an evening full of creativity from the students of Tynecastle High School and Cluster Primary Schools (Balgreen, Craiglockhart, Dalry and Stenhouse). Be ready for music, dance, drama and art!

There will also be a BBQ, café and raffle – families welcome!

Tai Chi Ch’uan, sometimes refered to as Taiji, is a Chinese Internal Martial Art. Many people arfe familiar with the sets if movements handed down to us from the masters of the past. These are practised gently as a kind of moving meditation. It is believed that Tai Chi has the largest group of practitioners worldwide. During practice, the body, breath and mind stay relaxed and connected. The continuous smooth and flowing motions make it relaxing yet demanding by nature. Tai Chi helps keep mental clarity, physical wellbeing and at an advanced level furthers spiritual development. Suitable for all levels.

Intergenerational Cooking Workshop | 11 am to 12.15 | St Martins Community Centre, 232 Dalry Rd, EH11 2JW

This event will gather pupils from Dalry Primary School with the Gorgie’s Older People’s Group to cook simple and versatile recipes that aim to reduce food waste.

The workshop is led by Food Sharing Edinburgh

This free workshop will be facilitated by the poet, prose writer and playwright Tom Murray. Lovely space for children with a large enclosed area to play.  There are plenty of ride-on toys and a box of other toys and books for babies and toddlers.

The group is small and very welcoming to newcomers.

Gently Does It is an exercise class suitable for older adults and people living with long term health conditions. Led by Yvonne, Gentle Does It provides an excellent class to increase your activity levels in a safe, comfortable environment. Through gentle movements and exercises the class will help to improve general health and wellbeing with a focus on flexibility, mobility and increasing strength.

A funny workshop that will allow children and their families to use recycled materials to create a realistic new “pet”.
